When loved ones communicate with you in dreams after they have passed, you might want to listen, and write it down. I’ve recently reviewed two books on this theme by James Twyman and Randolph Rogers. They both had loved ones who had passed reach out to them from another dimension, forever changing their understanding of death and how life works.
Check out our podcast for great interview with Dr. Meg Blackburn Losey about her new book, The Secret History of Consciousness, that traces the awakening human consciousness from the dawn of recorded history and ancient archaeology through molecular biology, quantum dynamics to the very nature of the cosmos and the future of humanity. It’s like Zacharia Sitchin meets Stephen Hawking meets Gene Rodenberry. Get the book – you won’t be able to put it down!
Science, spirituality and medicine come together in the mind-body connection. There have been so many books coming out recently on the effect of thoughts on illness, wellness and the body’s ability to heal, that I thought it would be good to bring some of the best ones to your attention. Make no mistake, dear friends, this is the cutting edge of healing.

Finding the partner of your dreams isn’t that difficult. The Grimm brothers’ fairy tales contain a wealth of useful guidance, but only if you read the original stories and forget the Disney movies version. Once you cut through the misunderstandings that our society has held onto for so long there is some real wisdom we can all benefit from.
1. Don’t put up with second best. The Princess in ‘The Frog King’ does not kiss the frog. She tries to kill it. That’s not in the Disney version. It’s only when she says that a frog is not what she wants that she shows any self-respect, and allows the frog to be who he fully could be. If you don’t want frogs in your life, demand better. Ask for what you really want.
Just when I was losing faith in the veracity of the principles of spiritual enlightenment, I opened this brilliant book, I AM by Howard Falco (Tarcher), and all faith was restored. I opened the book randomly, anticipating a quick read of yet another Cliff’s Notes variation on the you-can-create-your-reality theme, and instead was instantly transported into a world of matter, energy, evolution, and intention. Moving from my desk to the balcony with a fresh cup of tea, I settled in and read the entire book in one sitting, only returning to the pages that I had originally skipped over after I had reached the end of the book.

Eckhart Tolle wrote, “I have lived with many Zen masters, all of them cats.” In her delightful book, Choosing to Be: Lessons in Living from a Feline Zen Master, Kat Tansey takes this concept to another level. Her Maine Coon cat and his kitten “channel” Buddhist wisdom and philosophy, guiding the author’s meditation practice. In a last-ditch effort to transform her depression, she uses kitty-inspired meditation to escape and achieve greater depths of self-understanding and heights of clarity. Although written as a story, the cast of characters and the plot are true, and any animal lover will recall the gifts from the furry Zen masters in his or her life. Reading this book casts a delightful spell as we journey with the author from inner turmoil to inner peace. Read more at Findhorn Press.
You know people are hurting when two of the books on the NCR Best Seller list are, “When Things Fall Apart” (Pema Chodron) and “The Ten Things to Do When Your Life Falls Apart” (Daphne Rose Kingma). I guess when we’ve given up on the economic stimulus and the good will of the financial and corporate sectors, we go back to basics and start looking at how we can take back our power. We’re forced to rethink our lives, so while we’re at it, let’s imagine greater!
